Stray dogs create havoc in the city

Aurangabad, March 5, 2018: Number of stray dogs is increasing in the city and is becoming a great trouble to the residents of the city. Barking at night has been a real headache and has made people tensed about the situation.

Dogs not only near the commercial area but also near residential section have increased in numbers and bunch of dogs together at night can be seen in many areas. “It is a great trouble for us to sleep at night because of continuous barking of dogs and many a times we find that people complain about the stray dogs that they are dangerous as they can also bite people any time.” Said Shruti Kulkarni, a resident of N-1, CIDCO, Aurangabad.

Aurangabad Municipal Corporation do take actions against it but are not permanent because after some time again the dogs are seen on the roads and the scenario is again repeated. Cases of dog bites have also been registered due to stray dogs and people have left complaining because the scenario is not changing. Stray dogs should be captured and kept in captivity so that there is no harm to the residents of the city and people can freely move on the streets.
