Lives miserable due to poor conditions of roads

Aurangabad, March 6, 2018: Crowded with deep pits and pot holes, the road conditions don’t seem to get required maintenance. People have fed up by complaining again and again and don’t seem to get proper attention towards their complaints.

The bad condition of the roads are resulting in jerking of knees for the two-wheeler drivers, the risk of four wheelers toppling are always high. “In every 50 meter or so, there are deep pits and potholes which are dangerous for vehicle driving and no one can drive safely and smoothly on these roads.” Said a local person of the city. Also, people have protested many a times and most of the times, the roads were maintained according to the needs but in less than even a month, the conditions took the same turns as previous roads, again forcing people for filing a complaint against the road conditions. As soon as they complaint, the officials say that the roads were recently made and hence it will take some time to repair them as the work is going on somewhere else.

Large number of accidents, cases of disc displacement, spinal injuries, bone dislocations and injuries are the most common but serious outcomes of this kind of road condition. Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) have repaired roads of many areas of the city but people have filed complaints that AMC keeps on improving roads which are already better than other areas.
