Hostelites to Save Every Drop of Water

Aurangabad, March 4, 2018: Water shortage has become one of the most highlighted issues among the hostelites. Severe water shortage at a hostel meant for students pursuing graduation degree in Aurangabad has been observed. Hostelites are tensed because of daily trouble for water.

“Temporary issues are turning into permanent issues slowly.” Said Jay (name changed), one of the hostelites. Students are confused of whether should study for their upcoming exams or solve the issue of water shortage. “ Every drop of water is worth as much as gold for us now.” Continued Jay. “When we were new in the hostel, we used to wait for the problem to get resolved as we were said that the problem would be temporary and that we students would get water as informed earlier. Later, we realized that the problem was persistent, and no one was doing anything regarding it.” Said Deepak Joshi, a JNEC student. “Exam times are the only period when we hostelites look forward for the least trouble we can have but no matter whatsoever we do, the water shortage issue always persists and ruins the schedule.” Said Pratik Reddi, 2^nd year, JNEC.

Complains resolve the issue for time-being but are not permanently taken care of. Students are still finding a way for permanent solution for future of the hostel life. Water shortage is not only observed in some particular areas but also in nearby areas of colleges and hostels. Hostel owners or room keepers blame the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation for the same and get away from the complaint.
